Location/Trust: Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. Position based at Adult Community Services, 3rd Floor St James’ House, Salford

Band/Pay rate: Band 3 £11.14 per hour

Hours: 4 x 10 Hour shifts (with extended breaks) per week from the following times (Two earlies, two late per week, adjusted depending on cover)

Shift range is: 0730-1730 / 0800-1800 & 1200-2200

We have a temporary placement opportunity available for an Urgent Care Administrator within the Adult Community Services Team. The Administrator will be providing the following support to the team:

The Urgent Response team operates a 7 day, 0800-2200 crisis intervention service to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and keep patients safe and healthy within their own homes - Working with partners from NWAS, GP’s and other community services.

The Homesafe Team operates within the same hours, providing a safe discharge and reablement service from the acute hospital.

The service is high demand both mentally and physically (prolonged periods of seating, significant screen and telephone duties) and requires exception attention to detail. This tole is best suited to a highly resilient individual who enjoys a challenging, and fast paced role. Please refer to the job description provided for more details.

This role is not suitable for staff who cannot work a 4-shift rota across 7 days (e.g. including weekends and late evenings).

Skills required are:

  • Previous experience of working for Salford Royal Hospital
  • System experience of EPR, Patient Centre, NHS.net.
  • Previous administration experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to work alone
  • Excellent data entry skills

Salford Royal is based at Stott Lane, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport.  There is onsite parking (fees will apply).  It has four on site cafes and two restaurants where staff are eligible for a discount.  The hospital also has on site shops.
