The Health Records Department at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is currently seeking to recruit 2 individuals for a newly created post of Quality Assurance Officer.

The role will set out the standards/ procedures required to achieve the BS10008 accreditation and will work with the management team to on all aspects of quality control.

The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility and lead on several aspects of quality in the health records document scanning centre.

  • Training and induction of new staff
  • Building and maintaining standard operating procedure documentation including a document repository library
  • Monitoring and reporting of defects and issues
  • Hardware and software relating to the service
  • Relationships with internal IT department / external suppliers and internal customers

Do you have?

  • Experience in delivering training
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of numeracy and literacy ability.
  • A good level of IT literacy, ideally in Scanning systems and Clinical IT systems

Post holders will be required to work a Monday to Friday and the contract will not exceed 37.5 hours per week.

The department is open between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The department is looking to fill two shift patterns of:

  • 7am-3pm and
  • 10am - 6pm

Applicants must be flexible to cover colleagues annual leave and any other absences in line with service requirements.
