Are you happy working in a healthcare setting?  Are you happy working a shift pattern across 7 days to include mornings (6am-2pm); afternoons (2pm-10pm) and nights (10am-6pm)

 

We have a number of roles available for Security Officers at the Northern General Hospital (S5 7AU).  We are looking to hold interviews quickly and this team are looking for Security Officers to start ASAP.  These bookings are rolling contracts.

 

Please note that the ideal shift pattern is across 7 days to include mornings (6am-2pm); afternoons (2pm-10pm) and nights (10am-6pm).  However, the team will consider candidates who are only available on a part time basis or that can only look at specific shifts (eg nights only).  Please specify your preference when applying.

 

£9.49 to £17.37 per hour plus accrued holiday pay – dependent on the days / shifts worked

 

Please note that direct experience is not essential although it is highly advantageous. 

 

You will work as part of the security team and be responsible for ensuring that all patients, staff and visitors are courteously received and assisted.  Day to day duties could include:

  • Maintaining a highly visible deterrent by patrolling of hospital sites on foot
  • Responding to any security/fire related
  • Carrying out Control room duties
  • Responsible for key control system
  • Out of Hours accommodation key provision and escorting of accommodation users
  • Escorting and protecting staff as required to maintain safety and security of staff, premises and equipment.
  • Collection and /or delivery of cash/cash boxes as instructed.
  • Receipt/issue of stores/equipment
  • Security marking of Trust equipment
  • Checking Patriot alarm system each night making sure all alarms are set and if not, set them.
  • Monitoring the access control systems
  • Operating the entry / exit control equipment installed on main entrances.

  • Are able to follow clear instructions
  • Have good verbal communication skills
