Digital Project Manager (12-18 Month FTC)

Main Purpose

Reporting into the Head of Digital and working closely with the Digital Estates Technical Lead and the wider Digital Team management, the post holder has responsibility for managing a range of projects that support delivery of CHP’s Digital Strategy.

The role includes supporting key Digital, Data and Technology related projects which support both;

  • Digital enablement for our external stakeholders as they work to deliver the ambition for clinical service digital transformation across Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) in terms of connectivity, interoperability, and space planning.
  • Improved efficiency, automation and productivity across internal functions as we work to deliver critical innovative priorities set out in our Digital Strategy.

The role will specifically support a number of ongoing projects including; Data Warehouse integration, Power BI Dashboard development, embedding technology to enhance our Digital Workplace, and a range of systems / software implementations and roll outs to help us work more effectively (Mobile/Tablet Devices, Wifi, Assets/Customer management systems, myDigital etc.)

 

The role will execute and promote the use of appropriate project management (PM) methodologies to ensure successful delivery to time and target whilst keeping relevant stakeholders engaged and updated;

  • Use of standard project documentation (Project Initiation, Proof of Concept, Project Closure, Action/Milestone Plans etc.)
  • Coordinating effective governance mechanisms (Project Board/Teams and sub-groups as needed), controls (routes for progress updates and escalations) and assurance of project activities
  • Conducting regular progress and outcome reviews, incorporating lessons learnt and ultimate benefits realisation to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Promoting PM best practice and ensuring compliance relevant company policies and processes
  • Effective contract / budgetary management and cost control (seek appropriate sign off/approvals, invoice liaison etc.)

 

Key Interactions

This is a senior position with a high degree of autonomy it will therefore be necessary to interact with a wide range of internal and external, technical and non-technical stakeholders at a senior level, including, but not limited to:

  • Sensor Providers
  • Wifi Providers (Datrix, Enco etc.)
  • IT Suppliers
  • ICSs, CCGs, CHP Tenants
  • Within CHP, with
  • AD, Digital, Data and Technology
  • Digital Steering Group (& other steering groups)
  • Heads of and Managers from across all Company functions

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant degree and post graduate management qualification or equivalent experience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Evidence of CPD.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in a business and digital and/or estatesenvironment.
  • Evidence of successfully managing complex technical and IT projects (e.g. Wif, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence Tools, HR/Customer relationship management system).
  • Knowledge of the digital environment and technological advances.
  • Strong technical background
  • Experience of building up technical capability within an organisation
  • Strong track record of working with and successfully influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of operating at a senior level in a complex organisation.
  • Evidence of innovative but practical delivery and problem solving.
  • Experience of staff management/leadership

Desirable Knowledge & Experience

  • Knowledge of the NHS including the national agenda andimpact on CHP.
  • Familiarity with UK public sector.
  • Knowledge related to a corporate and property portfolio.
  • Experience of how to work within and with the public sector and government (local and central).
  • Experience gained in a similar sized or larger organisation that has seen significant change or growth
  • Experience of managing an extensive programme of digital transformation.
  • Experience of managing the delivery of a Digital strategy
