The Jefferiss Wing for Sexual Health & HIV: Are you looking for a new challenge??If so for the right candidate Imperial has an exciting opportunity for you to become part of our established sexual health nursing team.

Are you committed to providing excellent patient care in a busy, fast paced environment? Do you have a desire and passion to work as a Specialist Nurse in our walk-in sexual health service? If so Imperial has ideal posts available on St Mary’s Hospital site within GU Medicine and Reproductive Health, with the scope to develop your career within the trust.

We have band 5 Staff Nurse posts available in our walk-in sexual and reproductive health department.

The Jefferiss Wing is a busy, dynamic sexual and reproductive health clinic, with between 150-180 patients being seen each day, within the walk-in GU service. A wide range of services are offered, including screening for sexually transmitted infections, nurse-led follow up and treatment clinics, services for people who have been sexually assaulted, and many other specialist clinics. Our patients attend with a variety of sexual health and contraceptive needs, requiring care and comprehensive assessment and treatment by both medical and nursing teams. The department suits candidates who want to work in a fast paced environment and practice their advanced sexual health and contraceptive nursing skills.

The ideal candidate would have post-registration experience in sexual & reproductive health and at least 1 year post registration experience as a general nurse. The successful candidate would also possess advanced communication and interpersonal skills. Evidence of specialist continuing development courses is desirable.

In return we would support you to develop your career with a recognised internal/external taught pathway to ensure you are provided with the necessary tools to become a Specialist Nurse.
