THIS POST IS FIXED TERM UNTIL JUNE 2022 DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.

As part of the UHB’s response to COVID-19 and the wider Welsh Government’s Track, Trace the Protect project. An exciting secondment or fixed term (until end March 2022) opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support worker to work in our communities within our Population Testing Units.

The post holder will work under the supervision of a registered practitioner undertaking COVID-19 swabbing of adults within the Testing Unit bases across the UHB or community and primary care facility.

The post holder will be part of a wider dedicated team undertaking administrative duties including the production of electronic testing requests and managing the return of testing spread sheets. In your role Infection, Prevention and Control measures will be of paramount importance along with, PPE compliance and the safe disposal of clinical waste.

The post holder will also be expected to work as part of a mobile testing unit when needs arise to support the testing demands across CTM.
