We are looking for a Communications Officer who will work as part of the Communications Team to support communication activities, fulfilling the core team functions as required, particularly diversity and inclusion communications. This is a bank position therefore no hours of work are guaranteed.

Through innovative campaigns and other core communication functions, the team is responsible for communicating Solent’s story to internal and external audiences in pursuit of connecting people to the Trust’s brand. The communications team is also key in delivery events both internal and external to our partners and people in our communities, connecting people and sharing information through a range of different formats.

By working closely with colleagues across Solent, its partners and the wider NHS, the Communications team uses a range of marketing disciplines to deliver a planned and integrated approach across all channels to raise brand awareness and enhance the reputation of the Trust amongst staff, patients and our wider community.

The post holder will also assist in developing communications tools including creating and scheduling content, contributing to and updating the communications calendar, and will also support the organisation of internal and external events, digitally and in person. The role will involve some evening and weekend work.
