We are looking for a vibrant, articulate and highly motivated individual to join our Information Systems team. You will act as an Information Systems Support Desk Manager, managing all clinical applications support across the trust as well as leading a config and support team of analysts. You will ensure access and system resolutions are done in a timely and efficient manner.

The successful applicant will oversee support management for all Solent Clinical Applications including TPP SystmOne, Inform Sexual Health and R4 Dental. You will also manage all Smartcard administration, and access to non-Solent hosted systems, including PACs, NHS e-Referrals, Summary Care Record, and other local acute clinical applications.

The Information Systems Support Desk provides configuration, smartcard support and resolution to clinical access issues to approximately 5000 end users of SystmOne, eQuest, eDocs, Inform and Summary Care Record to name a few.

You will need to work closely with all services across the trust and the rest of the information Systems team, as well as the Data Warehouse, Performance and Business Intelligence teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for all Clinical Application Systems Support. This includes all Patient Systems Clinical Application 2nd line Support e.g. service issues and configuration change and general day-to-day management of the systems.
  • You will ensure that all configuration change requests are managed appropriately.
  • You will be responsible for managing the Support Desk Team.
  • You will ensure that processes are developed for the efficient working of the Support Desk that supports the effectiveness of the Information Systems Team.
  • You will ensure that day to day tasks are recorded as appropriate and completed in a timely manner by the team.

This is an exciting opportunity that will present different challenges every day. You must be highly skilled and be able to use your own initiative. The post will suit an individual that has excellent organisational, management and communication skills and is able to work autonomously, within the boundaries of the role, as well as, being part of a team. Essential knowledge to include system release management and change management. It is essential you have TPP SystmOne knowledge, and desirable, Inform and R4.
