An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Admission Unit of Imperial College Healthcare at Charing Cross Hospital. We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse / Sister into our team. We are looking for a nurse with a minimum of two years at Band 6 level with experience in the acute setting. Experience shift leading and managing flow is essential. The possession the Mentorship course is essential.

Charing Cross Hospital is one of the London Hyper Acute Stroke Units (HASU) and sees in excess of 80,000 patients a year, with a separately staffed Urgent Care Centre. The Acute Medical Admission Unit currently has 36 beds that includes 13 beds with cardiac monitor.

We are passionate supporters of our nursing team at every grade, but recognise the unique skills and experience that our band 7 staff bring to the team.

We want our staff to be fully rounded nurses, who are able to bring a large range of skills to the patients’ bedside from a broad portfolio of experience.

Applicants will need to demonstrate a dynamic, hardworking, and passionate approach to delivering high quality patient care that is an example to the junior staff you will be leading. You will have the opportunity to develop your own clinical and management skills as you further your career and will be supported by the Lead Nurse.
