The Academy of Research and Improvement are committed to providing training, support, and leadership for a culture of Quality Improvement (QI) across Solent NHS Trust.

As a valued member of the Academy, you will work alongside research, clinical effectiveness, improvement, people participation, knowledge, communications, and admin staff from the Academy.

Your work with QI teams will include staff from across Solent, partner organisations, patients, carers, and the public, supporting them to deliver and share complex/large-scale improvement projects. This will involve identifying the best tools to structure their projects and ensuring that they can work successfully with core stakeholders and people across the community. You will support teams with effective communication across a range of platforms, provide training where needed, and facilitate the sharing of learning and good ideas. The role will be key to the ongoing growth of an inclusive improvement culture across the organisation.

Applicants will need to have knowledge, skills and experience in QI methodology and leadership, with the drive and enthusiasm to support services with improvement activity and a personal commitment to life-long learning. The successful candidate will need strong interpersonal skills, infectious enthusiasm, and an ability to be flexible and positive. You will be working with people of all levels of experience and will be able to act as a mentor and credible advisor.

You will be part of an innovative and friendly team, with a strong network of support and a range of professional development opportunities offered. We will encourage and support you to be part of local and national improvement networks. The role requires the ability to travel across Southampton, Portsmouth, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with some flexibility for working patterns.
