Hours Full time 37.5 per week

Devon Sexual Health Service are looking to recruit a full time Receptionist to join our admin & clerical team based within the NHS Walk-in Centre in central Exeter.

This is a busy environment and the successful candidate will require excellent customer care skills, the ability to multitask, and be able to provide a warm, friendly and efficient reception service to all visitors to the centre.

We work with a diverse range of patients and the post holder must be non-judgemental and demonstrate a positive self-motivated attitude with the ability to remain calm and professional at all times.

The successful candidate will work within a team of reception staff supporting the clinical services operating from the Walk-In Centre and will undertake a range of reception & administration duties to support the Lead Receptionist and clinical teams.

The ability to communicate professionally & sensitively with members of the public is essential for this busy role. Computer skills are desirable and training will also be provided on electronic booking systems used within the service. Hours will be worked on a flexible rota to cover service opening hours which will include some weekend, early evening and bank holiday cover. There may also be a requirement to work at locality clinics on a rota basis.

The Government has formally announced that it intends to introduce regulations that will require most healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated (1stand 2nddose) against COVID-19 by1stApril 2022.To achieve this the successful applicant must have had their 1stCOVID-19 vaccination by3rdFebruary 2022. Therefore, full COVID-19 vaccination will be a condition of employment unless an individual is medically exempt. We will ask for proof of vaccination during the recruitment process.
