This is an exciting time to be joining the Estates and Facilities department at North Manchester General Hospital as a Security Officer.

A once-in-a-generation opportunity will see our hospital rebuilt and the creation of a health hub within our grounds.

On 1st April, 2021, we became part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

This will be the final piece in a plan that set out the benefits of creating a Single Hospital Service for the city of Manchester, uniting multiple hospitals and a provider of community services.

We are part of changing the way care is delivered to address health inequalities in our region.

Collaborating with other hospital sites within the MFT footprint, our capabilities will grow. We’ll continue to attract highly skilled staff and we’ll be able to take a more sustainable approach to address the rising demand on services in the context of workforce and financial constraints.

The successful post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of security related duties to set procedures and standards, have the ability to use a degree of initiative whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times. Hours of work will be a twelve hour shift pattern (four on, four off) consisting of days, nights and weekends.
