The key function of the ‘Make Ready’ role is to ensure that Trust vehicles meet the operational and clinical standards required. 

 To ensure Trust vehicles are clinically clean, fully stocked (as appropriate) and essential equipment is in date and presented to a high standard.

 To ensure the promotion of a positive image of the Trust in terms of appearance and cleanliness.  To ensure that the vehicles meet the required Care Quality Commission (CQC) Standards.

 The Make Ready Operative must not underestimate the important part they will play within the Trust by adhering to a successful Make Ready process especially in relation to infection control standards of the vehicle and in ensuring vehicles are collected and delivered to the workshop for the vehicle Deep Clean and  safety inspection according to plan and in a timely manner with the minimum amount of disruption to Operations.
