Main Purpose

This post holder will be a member of the corporate services team and work closely with the HR and Payroll functions providing the necessary administrative support

As a member of the corporate services team the post holder will also be required to assist across other corporate services functions.

Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Human Resources

  • To assist with company HR requirements.
  • To oversee the HR Inbox and ensure queries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • To assist in staff inductions, including the paperwork aspect of onboarding.
  • Monitoring and recording employee annual leave and absences.
  • Keeping personnel files up to date.
  • Filing and compiling confidential letters.
  • Processing HR paperwork in a timely manner.
  • To assist in compiling up to date staff reporting information.
  • To ensure the HR Management System and any other systems used by the HR function are updated in a timely manner.
  • To ensure line managers and employees complete relevant documentation in a timely manner, in particular probation and induction documentation.
  • Liaise with external IT provider, and internal IT team, to ensure all IT requirements of new starters are met.
  • Ensure key email distribution lists are updated with starters and leavers.
  • Drafting letters for employees
  • Drafting employment contracts


  • Assist Recruitment Administrator with onboarding and drafting relevant paperwork for new starters

Ad hoc duties

  • Administer staff access to Company systems.
  • Work with IT to ensure seamless new starter process for equipment.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Where necessary, you must be prepared to assist the Corporate Services team or your relevant region with any duties, responsibilities or projects delegated to you that are outside of your remit.

Person Specification

  • Attention to detail and discretion is paramount.
  • You must be able to work on your own initiative due to the travel requirements of the HR Manager.
  • You must be able to work both quickly and accurately.
  • Forward think in a proactive and pragmatic manner to support the HR Manager with a variety of tasks.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above

Desirable Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of a working in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working within a team environment.

Desirable Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of working with external stakeholders
  • Experience of working with Senior Managers

Essential Qualities

  • Good communication skills
