We would like to invite applications for the post of JCF in General Surgery, based at the Wythenshawe Hospital, for 4 months from December - April.

Due to the short-term nature of the role, the successful candidate must hold a current registration with the GMC at the time of application, whether it be an active licence, ceased licence or a pending application -MFT cannot support GMC Sponsorship for vacancies less than 12 months fixed term. Candidates who do not fit this criteria will not progress through to the shortlisting stage.

Please note: MFT is not a right to work sponsoring organisation for Tier 5. Should a candidate require Tier 5 sponsorship, they must apply through the Academy of Royal College via the MTI Scheme.

The post is aimed at a doctor currently in training who has been granted permission by the relevant Postgraduate Dean for a 1 year period of out-of–programme training. However, doctors yet to obtain a national training number but with postgraduate experience are also eligible to apply. The successful candidate will work in a general surgery/colorectal team at core trainee level, attend clinics and theatres three days a week and contribute to a 1 in 12 on call rota for general surgery.
