EEAST is currently recruiting for Emergency Call handlers on a Full Time, temporary basis via agency.

We are appointing temporary workers through various agencies across our three Ambulance Operations Centres in Bedford, Chelmsford & Norwich.

 

Responsibilities:
999 call-takers receive emergency calls, prioritising patients to ensure the most appropriate help is arranged, and where necessary give life-saving instructions. The role is varied, also dealing with requests from hospitals, GPs and other healthcare professionals, as well as enquiries from the general public.

 

Skills & Experience Required:
We need individuals who have a good standard of education to include 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English Language), or equivalent qualifications or experience, and good computer literacy. Some call-centre experience would be an advantage, but not essential. Candidates will need to pass two online assessments and we will need to carry out enhanced background checks. It would benefit to have a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (due to company location).
