gtd Academy is a new branch within gtd healthcare, with its current primary aim being to act as a hub for all internal learning and development activity. This will ensure gtd healthcare has a competent, skilled workforce by coordinating the design, delivery, organisation and accompanying processes for training and associated activities.

 

Due to the growth of this newly formed Academy over recent months, an opportunity has now arisen for Placement Facilitator to join our team on a permanent basis.

 

This position will work closely with our Academy Officer and will report to our Academy Manager. There will also be a requirement to link with employees across the organisation who are involved in learning and development.

 

The Placement Facilitator will have the following key responsibilities (full role & duties can be found in the job description):

 

  • First point of contact for all queries relating to external students and placements, from both internal and external ‘customers’, supporting all coordination and administration linked to this.
  • Support the processes regarding Apprenticeships, including maintenance of the Digital Apprenticeship System, monitoring use of the Apprenticeship levy and ensuring regular reviews are taking place with the Apprenticeship cohort.
  • Act as the main point of contact with external providers e.g. Higher Education Institutions and Colleges, including attending meetings where appropriate.
  • Be responsible for the close management of the GP registrar cohort, ensuring regular shift uptake and escalating issues where required. This will include maintaining current registrar details (including new intakes), organising induction and education sessions and liaising with the operational team to organise/communicate shift opportunities.
  • Support the maintenance of a pool of GP Supervisors by maintaining a database of suitably trained staff and identifying where further cohorts are required to meet training delivery. Manage the administration of organising training sessions, etc. for this faculty group.
