The Role:

 

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who would like to be part of providing better lives for the residents, working for one of the UK’s most respected NHS Mental Health Foundation Trusts?

The successful applicants will assist in the overall delivery of care to patients within the Primary Care team. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The post holder will at all times comply with the NMC Code of Conduct, relevant legislation policies and procedures.

Healthcare services operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and the successful applicants would need to be flexible in their approach to meeting the demands of the service

 

Supervision of junior members of the multi-disciplinary members of the team including students and support staff.

 

  • Demonstrate an awareness of Trust and Prison policies, procedures, and protocols.

 

  • Demonstrate efficient use of resources

 

  • Utilize management skills to take charge of the unit/team as required

 

  • Participate in effective multi-disciplinary teamwork, including prison staff

 

  • Report immediately any complaints, incidents, and other untoward occurrences

 

  • Participate in the clinical review of major incidents as appropriate.

 

  • The post holder will undertake risk assessments, devise written plans of care, liaise with and refer to, any appropriate individual, agency or service that can meet the patient’s needs.

 

  • Assess, plan prioritise, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to meet patient needs.

 

 

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to pick up regular bank shifts:

Skills/Responsibilities:

To apply for this post, you will hold:

  • RGN
  • Able to clearly understand developments and communicate them
  • Ability to read and write clearly
  • Experience of working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes, Epilepsy, or Asthma
  • It is essential that the post holder must be willing to undertake regular DBS checks, and prison vetting to undertake the role

 

 

Desirable:

  • Non-Medical Prescriber
  • Experience of working within a secure setting/ prison
  • Good working knowledge of mental health issues
  • Teaching Qualification
