The adult and Paediatric departments see in excess of 125,000 patients a year, with a resuscitation area, majors, and ambulatory assessment areas. The department is supported with a 40 bed admission unit and a 12 bed Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), both of which are separately staffed from the department but work in close cooperation.

In close conjunction we take staff wellbeing very seriously and have a team in the department, constituting nurses & doctors at all levels, who work hard to promote the wellbeing of all the team through creative and innovative events and opportunities.
