The London Borough of Brent is situated in North-West London. The successful candidate will be based at Sudbury Primary Care Centre.

The Brent 0-19 service have an exciting new opportunity for paediatric or adult nurses to join our team of Health Visitors. They will work as part of the health visiting team delivering the 0-5 Healthy Child Programme to Children and their families living in Brent.

The successful candidates will work with the health visiting team which includes Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses to deliver community based public health activities to a universal and enhanced 0-5 population. This will include completing child health and developmental reviews, delivering child health clinics, working with parents to best meet the needs of their baby/child and supporting Health Visitors to work with families requiring an enhanced service offer. You will also be involved in A&E attendance follow-up and supporting parents to manage their baby’s/child’s health, making the best use of community services.

You will receive training regarding working as part of a health visiting service. The successful post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work confidently without direct supervision once competent. They will need to have a good understanding of safeguarding and will receive regular safeguarding supervision.

The successful post holder will be supported in developing skills and knowledge through the Performance Appraisal and Development Review process.

You must have nursing qualification and be registered with the NMC.
