Sussex NHS Commissioners have an exciting vacancy for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager supporting our workforce equality programmes and taking forward workforce equality initiatives with partners across the local health and care system known as Sussex Health and Care Partnership (SHCP).

We are looking for someone with the ability to engage, empower and work with staff from all backgrounds including our ethnically diverse staff groups, disabled staff and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender staff as well as inclusion groups such as carers.

Working as part of the People Team, you will lead and develop a variety of initiatives to drive improvements in relation to recruitment, career progression, talent, well-being and representative decision making. You will support colleagues with making improvements to workforce policy and procedures including developing new areas in with national and local requirements.

You will also be supporting our staff networks to have a strong voice and a role in the organisation’s decision making. This will include working with them to achieve best practice standards and charter marks such as Disability Confident Employers and the Stonewall Workplace Index.

Candidates will therefore be required to work at home and be able to work from one of our office bases in Sussex in agreement with their Manager and wider team.
