An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Nottingham CityCare’s MOSAIC pain and chronic fatigue service as a band six pain practitioner.

MOSAIC (Musculoskeletal Orthopaedic Spinal pain And Integrated Chronic fatigue syndrome) is dynamic, friendly and innovative team, which is committed to providing timely and evidence based support for patients with long-standing pain and chronic fatigue. Currently, the team includes physiotherapists, specialist pharmacists, rehabilitation and exercise practitioners and pain consultants. The team is committed to a highly integrated multidisciplinary approach to the support of patients.

This exciting role will be varied and stimulating. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake assessments of patients with long-standing pain and chronic fatigue in a biopsychosocial model. They will be expected to support patients in the management of their symptoms using the resources available to them that include individual support as well as group management.

The successful applicant will be supported and supervised by the senior team of advanced pain practitioner’s and the pain team clinical lead. They will also have access to support from the clinical pharmacists and pain consultants within the framework of an integrated multidisciplinary approach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing the on-going development of high standards of clinical practice and expertise within the service, contributing to implementation of specific changes to practice and service protocols

The existing team will be committed to supporting the successful applicant in their Continuing Professional Development and this innovative ethos extends throughout the whole team. As a valued member of the team the successful applicant will receive regular supervision within the pain service but would also have access to the wider MOSAIC in-service training programme.

The MOSAIC pain and chronic fatigue service is part of the larger MOSAIC Service that also provides support to people with musculoskeletal pain utilising first contact physiotherapy, self-referral physiotherapy and advanced practice interface clinics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to experience these wider elements of the MOSAIC family.
