Please note this role is for a combination of day and night shifts.

We require RGN’s to work in primary care service. The ideal candidates will have a sound nursing knowledge base, excellent communication skills, an understanding of the complex needs of the population and have the ability to operate confidently within an MDT.

HMP & YOI Styal is a female prison with a population of approximately 470 residents. Spectrum Community Health CIC is a social enterprise which has been successful in tendering for an NHS funded fully integrated health and social care service. The integrated service has been in place since 1st April 2016 and we now need to recruit additional qualified staff to provide this service. Residents have access to a 24 hour nursing and GP service as well as services which include mental health, substance misuse, dentistry, optometry, podiatry and midwifery. The primary care and substance misuse nursing team is dedicated to improving the health of all residents who are from diverse backgrounds and who present with the full range of general health problems.

Spectrum Community Health at HMP & YOI Styal also provides nursing services to the Immigration Removal Centre at Manchester Airport and staff have the opportunity to integrate across the services.

Due to the nature of working in a secure environment specific security criteria will be required to be met.

On top of your basic salary, you will receive at least 27 days' holiday each year rising to 33 days after 10 years’ service (excluding bank holidays). You will also automatically become a member of the NHS pension scheme and will receive an excellent package of pension benefits which are one of the most generous and comprehensive in the UK.

The Welcome payment will be payable to new applicants joining Spectrum Community Health CIC.

There will be a requirement for appointed applicants to provide proof of their Covid vaccination status or any clinical exceptions.

The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training (Children and Adults) appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in.
