Exciting opportunities have arisen for Band 6 Cardiac Nurse Specialists in the Leeds Community Cardiac Service.

We have a full-time permanent position and a 12-month fixed term position - full time.

We are looking for passionate, dynamic, and flexible individuals who are able to adapt to changing demands and workload. You will be a natural leader, enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have an interest in service development.

Experience in cardiology is essential to the role, and you will work closely with other members of the cardiac team and key stakeholders. You will be a good team player, but also be able to work independently.

The Cardiac service operates Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you can travel independently across the city and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

There is a statutory requirement for staff in this role to provide nursing or personal care within Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated care homes.

Therefore, in line with new government regulations which come into force on 11 November 2021, anyone employed in this role will need to evidence they have had two doses of a Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) approved COVID-19 vaccine, or that they come within a specified exemption. Evidence of vaccination status should be provided via the NHS app, the NHS COVID pass via the NHS website, or an NHS letter as part of pre employment checks.
