Desborough and Hazlemere Surgery in High Wycombe require an additional Practice Nurse for20 to 37.5 hours a week (am and pm sessions).

This GP practice serves 12,500 patients across two sites. We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated person to become part of our friendly and excellent team.

The successful applicant will be encouraged to take an active rolewithinan establishedNursing Team, incorporating all the aspects of being a Practice Nurse.

The individual should enjoy working as part of a supportive team, possess good communication skills and have good general IT skills. Experience of using the clinical system EMIS is desirable.

You will be well supported by the Surgery's GPs, Practice Nurses, Practice Manager, Pharmacist, IT Manager, Reception team and excellent Administrative staff.

Duties will include:

  • Delivery of a high standard of primary care to our patients (via telephone, video and face to face consultations)
  • Effective management of patient's long term conditions
  • Processing of administration and other associated tasks
  • Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvements, development and quality initiatives within the practice
  • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings and other practice meetings (e.g. PLT)

Working arrangements can be flexible for the successful person. The role may include additional holiday/sickness cover when required.

The individual will be trained to use the IT system, including EMIS and will have access to the NHS pension scheme and receive employee benefits (i.e. annual leave allowance).

The desired start date would be Monday 17th January 2022.

Informal discussions with the Practice Manager/Nurse Manager and visits to either site are welcome.
