Thoracic /Cardiothoracic Consultant Radiologist

We are looking for a motivated Radiologist to join our team of four Thoracic and Cardiac Radiologists at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust.

This is a replacement post to join the Thoracic Radiologists in all aspects of Chest Radiology including being a core member of the weekly Tertiary Lung Cancer MDT, Benign Respiratory MDT and Image Guided Lung Biopsy Service.

There is a session of reporting on a rotational basis for the Weston Hospital site, which can be provided remotely from the BRI if desired.

There is also scope to join the Cardiac CT service with the Cardiac Radiologists for candidates wanting to develop this interest.

The successful candidate would also be part of the Acute Reporting Service providing primary reports and verification of Radiology Registrar reports during ‘Consultant of the Day’ sessions during week days, with an on call frequency of 1:20, and weekends on call 1:13. There is a separate Interventional and Paediatric on call service provided by the GI and Paediatric radiologists.

The on call is fully supported by Radiology Registrars from the Severn Training Scheme. Teaching and supporting the Registrars both in Thoracic and General Radiology will be an important part of this role.
