Job Specific Location/Base: Block A, Floor 3, St Mary’s Community Health Campus

We have an exciting opportunity and a new role within our Business Support Team for our Mental Health Services in Portsmouth. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised administrator with good attention to detail to shape and develop this new position providing much needed systems support to our clinical teams.

Solent’s Mental Health Services cover a variety of different services including inpatient facilities for both adults and older persons, community services including rehab, crisis and health and wellbeing, IAPT Talking Change and learning disabilities. We are looking for people that work to the organisational Values of Honesty, Everyone Counts, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork (HEART), show in your behaviour that you value people and the care you give to them.

This role is seen as a key position and we are looking for someone with real passion for the role to provide key support in matters across the service. As such, you will need to have excellent administrative, IT and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.

Previous experience supporting a business function is important, as is the ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team. You will be expected to responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy and be able to demonstrate good time management and prioritisation skills.Knowledge of Mental Health Services is desirable but not essential, good knowledge of recruitment and selection processes would be beneficial.

Job Responsibilities

You will organise and coordinate the recruitment of staff for the service line working closely with the recruitment and people services teams. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate information about the positions, candidates and interviews are processed on NHS Jobs in a timely manner. You will complete the onboarding processes for new starters in different areas of the service and help to produce job descriptions and person specifications.

You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining staff ESR records on the Manager Self Service system across the service.
