Job Specific Location/Base:Covering our service across the South of Hampshire from Havant to the New Forest, including Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight, and based at either St Mary's Community Health Campus, Portsmouth or the Royal South Hants Hospital, Southampton

Solent NHS Trust's Sexual Health Service is looking for an experienced Operational Support Manager to lead on the day to day management of non-clinical aspects of our work in the South of the county. Working within a large team across multiple sites, you will have proven people management experience, the ability to manage and prioritise multiple demands on your time, an eye for detail and an enthusiasm for driving improvement and positive change.

For this post, you will need access to your own transport in order to visit all our sites.

Sexual Health provides genito-urinary medicine, HIV and contraception care to all sectors of the local communities we service. Solent Sexual Health is an innovative and dynamic service leading in provision of online sexual health care. In the South, the two cities are served by large hub clinics and surrounding towns by a number of smaller spoke clinics. The Isle of Wight is served by a hub at St Mary's Hospital, Newport.

Job Responsibilities

  • Management of the day to day operational and administrative functions of the service, including the county wide vasectomy service.
  • Line management of administrative and clerical teams
  • Supporting clinical and senior management colleagues with project and audit work
  • Review and monitoring of performance data, and escalation of any concerns
  • Ensuring data quality is maintained
  • Compiling reports on performance and data for service board
  • Continuously reviewing admin procedures and workflows to optimise safety and efficiency
  • Supporting the Business Manager to set and monitor service budgets

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Profficiency with data software such as MS Excel and business intelligence platforms
  • Communication Skills, written and verbal.
  • A knowledge of and commitment to Equal Opportunities and Promoting Diversity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across a range of agencies.
