Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) was formed in June 2018 when South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (SSSFT) acquired Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership Trust (SSOTP).

We are one of the largest integrated Health and Social Care providers, with an annual turnover of close to £500m, serving a population of 1.5m over a core geography of 2,400 square miles. Our portfolio of services includes mental health, learning disability and adult social care services across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Shropshire. We provide a vast range of community services for adults and children and specialised services such as rheumatology and rehabilitation. Our inclusion services can be found across the country.

We have specialist mother and baby, eating disorder and medium secure forensic mental health services and contracts across the country for IAPT, addiction and some health services in prisons as well as hosting a network for inpatient mental health care for serving military personnel.

We have exciting opportunities to be part of this ground-breaking initiative - a brand-new inpatient detox unit in Fareham, Hampshire.

More about the inpatient unit

Our new inpatient unit will provide residential care and life-saving interventions to those with addictions. This is often a last hope for vulnerable members of our society to break free from their alcohol and drug use.

It will be opening from September 2021 and will be accepting referrals from 20 Local Authority areas across the South of England.

It will provide safe and effective detoxification and stabilisation for individuals with alcohol and drug use disorders.

Inclusion, as part of a large NHS Foundation Trust have partnered with Two Saints – a housing association and well-respected local provider – and 20 Local Authority areas to bring this high-quality specialised care and treatment to the area.
