The roll-out of the COVID vaccination programme has been an amazing achievement by the NHS as a whole and by the staff and volunteers of our Trust here in Devon.

We are so proud to have already given over 250,000 vaccine doses through our Exeter Vaccination locations. Our main purpose-built site at Greendale Business Park offers patients both drive-through and walk-through services. We are now planning to support outreach mobile vaccination units for hard to reach areas, pop up clinics at events, phase 3 booster programme and the eligible 12-15 year olds.

Could you be part of our incredible success and support the vaccination programme as it expands in and around Exeter via Greendale, and the mobile vaccination routes?

We operate over seven days a week and our shift patterns are 8am -12pm, 8am – 4pm, 12pm – 4pm, 12pm – 8pm, 4pm – 8pm or 8am – 8pm.

We are offering a variety of contracts subject to your availability - Bank, Fixed Term or Secondments from your current NHS role (FTC/Secondments to Feb 2022)

As a COVID-19 RHCP Band 5 you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting pre-vaccination clinical assessments.

  • Reviewing patient medical histories and any potential adverse reactions.
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to policies and procedures.

And as and when required:

  • Preparing the vaccine prior to administration by using aseptic technique.
  • Dilution and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials.
  • Setting up the vaccination station.
