Are you looking to enhance and/or develop your infection prevention knowledge and skills?

If you fancy a change and are considering a career in infection prevention (IP) an exciting, innovative, opportunity has arisen to work fulltime as an Infection Prevention Trainee Nurse, as part of our small friendly Infection Prevention Team (IPT) within Solent NHS Trust.

Applications are welcomed from, registered general or mental health and learning disability nurse’s dependent on experience. Experienced nursing staff with an interest in infection prevention are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent role to develop your skills and professional training will be given to the right candidate with a view to developing into a Band 6 Infection Prevention Nurse role.

We are looking for a motivated staff member who is passionate about infection prevention, with great communication and people skills to join our team.

As part of our trust wide Infection Prevention Team the post holder will be required to support a number of clinical and non-clinical teams across Solent NHS Trust to help embed good infection prevention practice into all aspects of patient care. You will have the opportunity to develop your infection prevention skills and gain experience in training, audit, clinical advice, and a complete range of matters related to IP with full support from the IPT.

For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.
