An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our inpatient unit which is based at St Luke’s Hospice working over a seven day flexible rota. We are looking for a motivated and skilled professional nurse who has a passion for palliative care.
St Luke’s Hospice inpatient care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The post holder will be required to work a range of shifts across the 24 hours, including rotation between days /nights. Although based in the Inpatient Unit, post holders may occasionally be required to work in other Hospice settings in order to ensure adequate staffing levels and to gain experience of the wider hospice delivery of care (e.g. Pall 24, Community).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as a sound knowledge in symptom control, most importantly, applicants must be committed to providing high quality compassionate care.
