Gordon Street Medical Centre has an excellent opportunity to join our multi disciplinary team at Gordon Street as a salaried GP to work 3 sessions per week. A job share would be considered or a portfolio role across our OOH's or primary care extended services is also an option which would attract additional hours and pay enhancements in addition to the advertised salary.

£85,850-£90,900 based on 37.5 hours

Sessional rates are based on 4 hours 10 minutes at a salary between £9538-£10,100 per session.

The Practice has 3 Salaried GPs, 1 Advanced nurse practitioner, a practice nurse and a healthcare assistant who work together to provide high quality care for approx. 48000 patients. GP appointments are structured to be 15 minutes In line with national guidance via telephone, video or face to face.

The Practice is currently expanding the clinical team further to include a practice Pharmacist to provide additional GP support and access for patients.

Gordon Street Medical Centre is situated in the heart of Tameside and forms part of the Ashton Primary Care Network and is actively involved in the work being carried out by the PCN such as the covid vaccination programme in order to improve services for the wider PCN patient population of around 60,000.

Currently, gtd deliver healthcare services to 2.4 million patients via GP practices for registered patients, walk-in centres, urgent care centres, clinical triage, acute home visiting and Alternative to Transfer services.

The Practice is supportive in encouraging staff to develop new skills for the benefit of the Practice and its patients. The receptionists work hard to support the GP's and patients on a daily basis.

The practice manager and the admin team work in collaboration with all members of the clinical team to reduce unnecessary workload using initiatives such as care navigation for appointments and triaging of clinical documents.

Our practices atgtd healthcareare keen to hear from newly qualified GP’s and can offer Tier 2 visa support for those qualified GP’s from overseas subject to relevant checks.”
