The successful candidate will be conscientious and an excellent communicator, a strong and supportive line manager and will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders. Well-developed problem-solving skills are essential in this role.

Main duties of the job

To be the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Pharmacy Information Systems, Business activities across the department. To provide leadership to the Distribution team and work alongside the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Procurement. Support IT related activities across the department including hardware, software and the maintenance / development of databases.  To deputise for the Chief Pharmacy Technicians when required.

Applicants will hold a valid BTEC & NVQ Level 3 Pharmaceutical Science Certificate, Accredited Checking Technician qualification and be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

You will be required to work at both the Women’s and Children’s hospital and participate in late night, weekend and bank holiday working.
