An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Pharmacy Technician with extensive experience in Home Care, Procurement and Distribution to work at the Pharmacy Department Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Trust. This individual will also have a passion for technology and digital solutions.


This Trust provides local, regional and national specialised services and is looking for a senior lead with an ambition to deliver pharmacy services that are world class. We are at an exciting stage of our journey. You need to be passionate about providing pharmacy leadership to be part of our Senior Leadership team to empower the team to support improving outcomes for our patients. The successful applicant will have a track record of project management, improving services, implementation of quality assurance processes and forming constructive relationships across teams.

Shortlisted candidates will undertake assessments working through scenarios and meeting other members of the teams they will be working with. We are looking for someone who can be a role model for the department as well having strong technical, organisational and governance skills.

The Pharmacy department is a busy and friendly department with excellent technical support and innovative service delivery. We have strong links with academia with opportunity for further education, teaching and research. The department has active research programmes in the fields of medicines optimisation, patient safety, antimicrobial stewardship and paediatric intensive care.
