The CCG will transition to become an Integrated Care Board (ICB) on 1 July 2022. CCG staff will TUPE transfer into the ICB in their current roles. However, the ICB may need to restructure some areas of its operation and adapt roles. This appointment will be offered on the basis that some elements of the role and its priorities could be subject to change. Appointees may be required to be flexible in accommodating such changes or moving to a similar role at the same band.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Care Nursing Ambassador to join our busy team. We are looking to employ or second a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can support the BNSSG Primary Care Training Hub to take a lead in developing and maintaining meaningful, professional, collaborative engagement between social care and health sector nurses.

This role will work closely with the Training Hub Nursing and AHP lead; ideally this role would suit someone who is passionate about developing parity of esteem for social care nurses.

We are looking to employ or second a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can support the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Primary Care Training Hub;

  • To create a RN Network within the BNSSG area to support nurse retention within the social care sector
  • To promote care worker and social care-based nurse education and training
  • To provide expert support and advice to BNSSG Primary Care Networks on working with social care nurses in support of Integrated Care Provider development

The role is offered at 15 hours a week, with flexible working available. You will need to be able to work well independently, managing changing demands and priorities and also be able to work effectively as part of a small busy team, working collaboratively with various organisations.

You will need the support of your line manager if you wish to undertake this role as a secondment. If you are efficient, enthusiastic, work well as part of a team and have a pleasant communication style this could be the role for you.
