The place to work in pathology

We are looking for top talent to join the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company – a scientific organisation with a clinical purpose.

Working in partnership with our service partners, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital and Bedford NHS Hospital Trusts, we aim to set the standard for the future of pathology.

We are looking for highly motivated Genomics Coordinators to join our comprehensive Genetics Service at the South London Genomic Laboratory Hub (GLH), based at Guy’s Hospital. These posts will involve working within the Monogenics team alongside scientist colleagues to process test requests in the local LIMS, monitor and reply to emails about testing, manage transfer of data between SEGLH labs, as well as other administrative tasks.

Successful applicants will be dedicated, enthusiastic and have good communication skills. The role requires consistent attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Knowledge of genomics testing is preferable but not essential, as full training to perform the required tasks will be provided.

The successful candidate will be joining a large and fully integrated Department with more than 120 staff and with close links to Clinical Services throughout Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTfT) and St George’s Hospital Foundation Trust. With our partner laboratories, the GLH for the South London region provides a comprehensive genetics service for a population of 8 million that includes specialist constitutional and oncology tests and an established whole exome sequencing service. The laboratory works collaboratively with other groups such as GSTfT Biomedical Research Centre, GSTfT Genetics Innovation Unit and the GSTfT Assisted Conception Unit for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.

Applications are invited from committed individuals.

We have an established network of remote workers and support flexible working patterns. Applicants looking for remote work are encouraged to apply.

You will have a suite of learning opportunities available through the Scientific Learning and Development Fund and the ViAcademy through which you can receive funding for advanced qualifications.

Through our Innovation Fund, you can apply for finance to get that new innovative scientific project off the ground, and participate with the wider scientific community through symposiums, conferences and other peer group meetings.
