As a Health Care Support Worker you will work closely with service users, their families, friends and carers. You will play an important role in ensuring those who use our services have a positive and supportive experience. Successful candidates will need to be kind and responsive and remain professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate a caring and supportive approach to working.

Experience is not essential as we will provide you with the training and support to ensure that your career in care starts off on the right track. Many of our current members of staff joined us with little or no experience so once trained you will have lots of opportunities to further develop your career within the trust.

Fordingbridge hospital provides a range of community services alongside our inpatient ward – Ford Ward. Ford Ward is a 15 bedded unit which consists of three bays and three side rooms.

You will need to be able to work a variety of shift patterns including nights and weekends.

A DBS check is required by the Employer for this post. The Employer will undertake an initial check at the appropriate level on appointment. As a condition of employment you are required to register with the online DBS update service and maintain this registration throughout employment; costs associated with this will be reimbursed, subject to taxation in line with guidance from HMRC.
