As part of this investment we are now able to extend our hours to cover 8AM to 8PM to support rehab at home and prevent hospital admission, enhancing the quality of life for our community.

Tiverton and Cullompton have excellent transport links and we are a short journey off the M5, giving quick access to Dartmoor, Exeter and Bristol. The Devon Link Road can transport you to the beautiful shorelines of the North Devon Coast, Exmoor and Blackdown Hills, Area of Natural Beauty. You can also access direct trains to London from Tiverton Parkway, taking less than 2 hours.

Excited to build a career in Devon? We are looking for an Assistant Practitioner to join our large, well-established and friendly team. Whilst the main base of this role will be within our Community Rehabilitation Team, you will be able to gain experience with inpatient, outpatient clinics, exercise groups, domiciliary and virtual clinics. Our caseload covers a variety of conditions from post-op rehab to long-term condition management, falls prevention and same-day equipment to keep patients safe at home. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own caseload which is supervised by our qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Applicants will require sound moving and handling skills, good problem solving, prioritisation and excellent communication. Our offices are shared with District Nurses, Social Workers and Urgent Care, allowing a high level of integrated working to the benefit of our patients.

We are committed to the continuing professional development of all our team members and offer a supportive environment with regular supervision, CPD groups, training and peer support. We also have access to a Champion’s Network that links you with therapists who are keen to share the knowledge of their special interest.

The successful candidate will complete a mixture of shifts across early (8-4), late (12-8pm) and weekends as part of the team rota. Please see the attached Job Description for Essential and Desirable Criteria.

Excellent IT skills are required to coordinate the smooth running of the service.
