Senior Cardiac Physiologist

Non-Invasive Cardiology

Fixed term for 9 months ( Maternity cover) with potential to extend.

Band 6 (£38,767 to £46,124 PA) inclusive

Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals is the UK’s largest post-graduate specialist heart and lung centre, with an international reputation as a center of excellence. In 2016 The Trust launched its private outpatient and diagnostic facility located in the Harley Street medical area.

This is an exciting prospect for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our clinic at a time of further growth and development and be part of a happy and successful multidisciplinary team.

This post will involve working in a busy private patient clinic, performing an array of Non-Invasive cardiac tests unsupervised. Diagnostics include, but not limited to; ECG holters, event recorders, ambulatory monitor fitting including analysis, Exercise Tolerance Testing and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.

A minimum of 1 year post qualification in a Non -invasive Cardiology (BSc Cardiac Physiology (PTP) or an equivalent Science based Degree with relevant Physiologist experience will be considered), ideally with experience in Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, however CPET training can be provided. ILS and RCCP/HCPC registration desired, though not essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the ongoing day-to-day clinical running of the Non-Invasive service and the further development of this facility and ensure that a gold standard service is delivered to all stakeholders.

The position will allow for rotation through the world-renowned cardiology unit at the Royal Brompton Hospital to maintain and broaden knowledge and skills.
