Bladder and Bowel Care Service
£18,546 - £19,918 per annum pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Bladder and Bowel Care Service, which provides specialist nursing care to patients of all age groups across Northern Devon Healthcare Trust. The successful candidate will be part of a Devonwide administration team providing administrative and secretarial support for a team of Specialist Nurses based in Exeter.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for those contacting the Service including patients, health professionals and members of the public, working in a busy office environment. An opportunity exists for the post holder to make recommendations for service improvement by working alongside admin staff and attending administration meetings.

The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of IT systems and audio typing. The post holder will be expected to use the local electronic booking system to book patient appointments, full training will be provided. The role will predominantly include the audio typing of clinical correspondence and some general administration duties.

The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and email. They must have general office experience. The role is for 25 hours a week.

The Bladder and Bowel Care Service is a Countywide Service and travel for training and staff meetings and occasional working at other sites to cover colleagues will be expected.

We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.
