The Integrated Laboratory Medicine (ILM) Directorate are on a quest for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified Project Administrative Assistant.

You will be part of a team of technical, scientific and clinical colleagues working in a key role to support the implementation of digitally enabling projects. This is a temporary fixed term appointment for 12 months.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual experienced in working with business transformational projects. We require someone who is energetic, resilient, confident to work independently, able to take the initiative and keen to be part of a team. You will be an excellent communicator at all levels demonstrating a diligent, disciplined and creative way of working, who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment, which is driving forward new technologies. You will be joining a friendly and supportive organisation and team of colleagues who all share a passion for patient care and desire to develop improved and innovative ways of working.

You will be required to work closely with the Project Manager and others within the ILM Project Management team, and liaise with staff and senior managers from the ILM and other Directorates.

You will be expert in managing and prioritising your own workload to support a variety of demands such as looking after diaries, meeting agendas and minutes, progress chasing outstanding actions, developing and maintaining other written materials essential to the progress and smooth running of projects.

The role is responsible for providing administrative support to the ILM Project Team and the other relevant healthcare professionals in the deployment of various digital projects to support the ILM Digital programme.

The key tasks for this post are:

Provide efficient project administrative support for a number of projects with the Integrated Laboratory Medicine Directorate. Maintain accurate records relating to Project Management activities including (but not limited to) meeting agendas, minutes, diary management, action plan documentation. Liaise with a range of healthcare professionals and external providers.
