Be part of something amazing – seeking newly qualified and registered nurses to work in specialist CAMHS community out-patient team.

We are currently looking for registered nurses (Band 5) from all backgrounds to support us in providing high quality compassionate care and wellbeing for all.

We are looking for motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, and caring professionals to be part of our well-established specialist CAMHS community multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing evidence-based care with children, young people, and their families, under the guidance of their supervisor and the clinical team. The CAMHS community service is continually developing and exploring ways to increase nursing expertise to offer a wider range of therapies. The candidate should have an understanding of mental health needs, excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and organised and have a reflective and flexible approach to working with children and young people and the systems around them (parent’s carers, school etc.).

To meet the needs of the children, young people, and their families, we will offer training to ensure staff are skilled to the highest standards. We are also able to offer a rolling training programme for all staff. At LPT, we believe that everyone is a leader, and will offer opportunities for you to nurture and further develop your leadership skills and abilities alongside your clinical skills and practice. We are a friendly and supportive team and encourage enthusiastic applicants to apply.

Post registration experience as well as Child and Adolescent Mental Health expertise and experience is desirable, but NOT essential, as we recognize that equivalent skills and experience in adult mental health and physical health are easily transferable. In addition, as outlined above, we offer opportunities to enhance your existing skills and learn new ones. We welcome applications from newly qualified nurses, there is a well-established preceptorship programme within LPT, along with a supportive induction plan which is tailored to your needs.
