Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

Band 2 Clerical Officer - Part-time post (22.5 hours per week)

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. This provides us with an opportunity for our services to work closely with our partners in primary care and the local authority to ensure a seamless service for our patients.

This is in recognition of the patient experience and quality of care that our staff provide to patients. It is also supported by our Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional Framework for Professional Practice.

The Family Care Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care in maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children’s services. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1,500 gynaecological procedures each year. The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.

The Trust also has a large community nursing workforce in the family care division. The 0-19 Public health nursing workforce delivers the healthy child program and supports all children in Bolton aged 0-19 (25 including SEND) - in order to do this effectively, we require strong clerical and admin support.

The Adolescent health and wellbeing team are looking for an Administration and clerical officer to be based at The Parallel Young People’s Health Centre in Bolton. Applications are invited from enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated and committed individuals. Candidates must have previous experience within a clerical/reception environment (previous NHS experience is desirable) and have excellent communication skills. It is important that the successful candidate has a pleasant and courteous disposition and a polite telephone manner.

The successful candidates must be inclusive be non-judgemental and have experience of and a desire to work with young people.

The post holder will be expected to work flexibly over the week, covering evening clinics until 6.30pm and weekend clinics on a rota to meet the needs of the service.
