MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR OLDER PEOPLE

Registered Mental Health Nurses (Community)

Based within the West Leicestershire CMHT

X1 post 30 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen within our West Leicestershire Community Mental Health Team for a Band 5 Mental Health Nurses.

We require enthusiastic, motivated RMN’s, with relevant post-registration experience, to join our CMHT; providing a caring service to people over the age of 65 years who have complex organic and functional mental health needs, and people under the age of 65 with early onset dementia.

Consideration will be given to newly qualified RMN’s

Our specialist services have a locality focus within outpatients, CMHTs, Urgent Care Services and Inpatients, adopting a multi-disciplinary team approach.

You would need to demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to high standards of patient care. You should also demonstrate good mental health assessment, risk assessment and communications skills and have the ability to work alone and as part of a team.

You will have an identified mentor/supervisor to guide and support you with the knowledge and skills required for this post.

The Team has close partnerships with Social Services, the voluntary sector and the Primary Care Trusts.

We have a strong commitment to supervisory training and personal development reviews, from which you will benefit.

A full driving licence is essential and a car-leasing scheme is in operation.
