Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

At Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, we are a major provider of hospital and community health services in the North West of Greater Manchester. We deliver acute services from the Royal Bolton Hospital and provide community services from a range of locations across Bolton. We are rated by our regulator the Care Quality Commission as ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ for the ‘Well Led’ domain. We have an opportunity for you to join that outstanding leadership team and work alongside our truly wonderful staff and teams.

We are seeking applications for the position of Director of Quality Governance this is a vital role with responsibility for the strategic leadership and management of all quality governance arrangements in the Trust and integrated community services. In the future play a role in the good quality governance arrangements of the wider health economy as a significant integrated care partner.

We are looking to appoint an experienced NHS Governance Leader who can help us our journey of continuous quality improvement for the benefit of patients. You will possess a strong track record of leading Quality Improvement and robust and engaging clinical governance arrangements developing innovative ways of working across professions and boundaries.

This is a truly exciting time for the Trust as we have recently outlined our ambitious plans for a new hospital alongside our recent significant investment in our estate, services, and IT. We are also at the forefront of true partnership working with colleagues in primary care, social care, and the third sector across Bolton; evidenced by the Bolton Integrated Care Partnership. You will play an integral role in moving all this work forward.
