An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Adult Learning Disability Physiotherapy Service. The Physiotherapy Team forms part of the Intensive Assessment & Treatment Team working together with Specialist Learning Disability Multidisciplinary Professionals, crossing service and organisational boundaries across North Devon.

The applicant will need to have an interest in working with people with learning and complex physical disabilities. You will be supported to gain specialist knowledge and skills and will be expected to work within community, outpatient and acute settings across North Devon. This will include completion of complex assessment and intervention as an autonomous practitioner, and the provision of specialist knowledge, advice and support to clients, professionals, families and carers.

We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.
