Are you a passionate about Continence Care for patients?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) acute trust for a motivated registered nurse on a 12 month secondment to cover Maternity leave. the post holder will be excited about improving continence care to join our established Adult Continence Service. We believe that providing good continence care for patients is essential in improving outcomes for patients in terms of quality of life and independence.

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual with vision and energy to provide visible clinical and professional support to the Trusts Continence Service.

The successful appointee will demonstrate a good understanding of bladder and bowel care and have the drive to improve clinical practice in this field, enhancing staff knowledge and skills. There is the opportunity to develop innovative ideas to enhance care for patients. The successful candidate will get full support from the current CNS in the team and training will be provided in areas needed for this job roll.

You will able to engage and motivate clinical staff to improve continence management and improve patient experience ensuring dignity is at the forefront of care provided.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Continence Specialist Nurse and Geriatricians in the Frail Older Person’s outpatient clinic and acute ward areas, provide clinical assessments & treatment programmes for inpatients
