Lead Renal Technologist

Band 7


Salary: £47,154.00 - £52,936.00 per annum (KFM Band 7 incl. Inner London HCAS)

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Renal Technical department of KFM is looking to recruit an experienced Renal Technologist for the role of band 7 equivalent, Lead Technologist. This role will require a highly motivated and adaptable individual to support the technical operations for optimised shared care and home therapy program and additionally act as a quality and standards co-ordinator for entire technical department. The Lead technologist will be a part of a larger team who support renal services across several sites in the south London and the north Kent area including the main Denmark Hill site, five satellite units and home dialysis. You will be a key member of the department, working alongside other team leader in developing and implementing strategies to provide a ‘best in practice’ service.

The applicant will also be expected to demonstrate considerable technical experience in medical equipment management, haemodialysis and related water treatment, therefore being a Registered Clinical Technologist will be an advantage. Successful candidate would be the one who could think out of the box to create compliant solutions and motivate team to achieve goals.

The job will involve management responsibility and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake appropriate and relevant trainings. The job also involves the provision of an on-call service and the applicant will need to hold a Full UK Manual driving license.
