We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, qualified pharmacy technician to join our medicines management service.

You will need to hold a NVQ level 3 and/or a BTEC National Diploma in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and be registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

The role will require the pharmacy technician to liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure optimisation of medicines, support patients with their medicines adherence and address pharmacy-related queries raised.

The post holder will be part of the CityCare Medicines Management Team and will be responsible for carrying out technical medication compliance reviews in patients with long term conditions and deliver medicines training to community based colleagues.

The post holder must be able to work autonomously, effectively manage their time and workload, using their initiative to prioritise work to ensure timely delivery of information

A sound clinical knowledge is essential for this role as well as robust IT skills. You will have a broad technical and pharmaceutical knowledge relating to the promotion of high quality, effective and safe use of medicines.

You must have an independent means of transport to travel around the geographic area our services operate across and also to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation. The core hours of the service are 08.30 – 16.30, Monday to Friday. Part time hours wil be consdered.
